Blood on their hands

Bare-knuckle fighting was recently scheduled to be on show in Perth, enabled by a decision by the previous WA Sport and Tourism Minister to recognise its organiser as a sanctioning body under the Combat Sports Act. We recently wrote to Premier Roger Cook and a number of relevant ministers to air our concerns. AMA (WA) President Dr Michael Page ensured the issue was front and centre of media for several days. Thankfully common sense prevailed, with the WA Combat Sports Commission board refusing the application from the Bare Knuckling Boxing Championship.
