DiTs are a valued, integral part of our workforce and we are committed to supporting them as individuals to achieve their professional aspirations, and to create a sustainable clinical health workforce of the future.

We have worked extremely hard over the past several years to be an employer of choice for DiTs and are proud that our achievements have been reflected in our overall A grade in the 2025 HHC. 

We achieved three A ratings and there was improvement on previous years’ achievements across most categories.

Our Medical Education teams are committed to continuous improvement to attract and retain the best DiTs, and the feedback from the 2025 HHC will support us to build on strategies already in place, such as specialist training positions, rural rotations, and protected teaching time.

A key focus is on providing more accessible research opportunities for junior doctors at Joondalup Health Campus (JHC). 

JHC is working to improve and streamline the ability of doctors to submit overtime claims at JHC by working on a digital solution.

Hollywood Private Hospital (HPH) was pleased its DiTs reported among the lowest levels of burnout, reflecting its efforts to ensure a supportive and safe workplace with a key focus on morale, culture and wellbeing. HPH is developing further teaching and training programs to support the professional development of its DiTs.

Ramsay Health Care is committed to providing a safe working environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment, and all staff are encouraged to raise any concern directly with their line managers in the first instance, or utilise our Speak Up for Patient Safety (SUPs) program. SUPs encourages all staff, both clinical and non-clinical, to speak up to address individual behaviours that undermine our culture of safety and quality.
