Changing of guard as Dr Kyle Hoath becomes President
Dr Kyle Hoath was confirmed as the new AMA (WA) President at the Annual General Meeting on 25 June. With changes to the constitution, Dr Hoath will serve a two-year term. He succeeds Dr Michael Page.
After his investiture was completed with receiving the formal gown and medal, Dr Hoath thanked Dr Page for his service to the Association and for his contributions to the new president’s own development.
“I’ve learnt so much from being your vice president for a period of time, and friend and supporter for the rest. You’ve handled yourself with grace and eloquence. You’ve built strong relationships with government.”
The new president applauded Dr Page for his many achievements over his two years in the role.
“It’s an incredibly long list. You lose perspective of the impact and the difference and the success that you’ve had at those more challenging and frustrating points,” Dr Hoath said.
Dr Natalie Ferrington and Dr Andrew P’ng were confirmed as Vice Presidents, along with the new Council.
